A Message From Our President

Welcome to UGA Sigma Sigma Rho

Hi Y'all!

My name is Niki Swamy and I have the honor of being the President of the Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc, at the University of Georgia for the 2023-2024 academic year. I crossed with the Angelic Alpha Beta Class in the Fall of 2021 and began my journey as a Distinguished Sxster of Sigma Sigma Rho.  

Within these digital walls, we celebrate more than just sisterhood; we embody a historic milestone. Sigma Sigma Rho stands tall as the first South Asian-based (not exclusive) sorority to grace UGA. We carry the torch of empowerment, breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes, leaving an indelible mark on our beloved campus through our principles of Sxsterhood, Society, and Remembrance.

In our Sxsterhood, we find solace, strength, and a sense of belonging. We come together, representing a tapestry of diverse backgrounds and experiences that weave our collective story. It is within this tapestry that we discover the beauty of unity, finding strength in our shared culture and heritage.

As you navigate our website, I implore you to immerse yourself in the stories that unfold within our sxsterhood. Witness the unbreakable bonds forged through laughter, tears, and shared triumphs. A bond that will go past your time in college and the experiences you gain will be invaluable. Our journey goes far beyond campus and has provided many of us a home away from home.
