It was established by 10 visionary sisters who sought to create a strong bond of Sxsterhood while promoting the values of Society and Remembrance.

With a deep commitment to their principles, Sigma Sigma Rho has flourished as a beacon of unity and empowerment among South Asian women.

Recognized as the Distinguished Ladies, the sorority has left an indelible mark, fostering personal growth, academic excellence, and community service among its members throughout its inspiring journey.

Epsilon History

Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc., the pioneering South Asian based sorority, has a significant charter history at the University of Georgia. On January 27, 2007, a remarkable milestone was achieved as Sigma Sigma Rho became the first South Asian sorority to be founded on the UGA campus.

The sorority's establishment was made possible by the vision and dedication of five trailblazing Sxsters, affectionately known as the A-game Alphas, who carried forward the legacy of the Founding Mothers.

Adorned in the colors of Royal Blue, Black, and Silver, Sigma Sigma Rho at UGA continues to thrive, leaving an enduring impact through its commitment to sisterhood, empowerment, and academic excellence.
